GREEN : Global Review of Environmental Economic Negotiations. As it suggests, GREEN-interpreters is a review publication of Global Environmental Economic Reforms, policy and environmental strategies of the world with special focus on global south. It seeks to fill the gap between traditional academic journals and the general interest of common readers by providing a widely accessible yet scholarly source for the latest thinking on natural resource management and related policy towards sustainable environmental development.
In the backdrop of climate change, what is imperative in global south is a broader, more synthetic approach to the diagnosis and resolution of environmental problems so that policy makers remain cognizant in linking poverty, commons property rights and natural resource management.
GREEN-Interpreters, unmasked on 2nd February 2010, World Wetlands Day, at East Kolkata Wetlands International Ramsar site aspires to reach out to corporate houses, concerned government departments, academia and information dissemination centers in India and abroad. Expectedly the conscious commons would pick it up in referring to current green issues and differing to the policy principles that would keep GREEN i alive.
