RESOLVE Trash to Cash is an urban climate initiative of SAFE for resolving the municipal solid wastes of the city to create an alternative livelihood for marginalized unnemployed women and youth, who are trained to recycle waste paper, plastics and wet wastes from the city dustbins to make micro-utility household products. The program as recycling micro-enterprise is scaled in India, Bangladesh and Bhutan.

Conservation of Periurban Wetland Ecology
Peri-urban areas are neglected zones in terms of strategic planning and fall between the urban and rural development trajectories. They are areas that respond to urban demands, but face ecosystem degradation amidst rising poverty. Planners often respond to immediate needs of these spaces in an ad-hoc manner,

Community Water Banking is just not water storage but it is an entrepreneurial model for leasing water as an environmental service for a limited period between willing water rights holders and willing-to-pay users that assures reliable supply of quality water in a budgeted volume. It is a practice of harvesting water in drought prone rural areas or saving it for someone else to use in exchange for a fee or delivery in kind.

SAFE promotes wise use of natural resources and protection of forest areas, preventive action for forest fire events through community governance and inclusive growth for sustainable development. Initiative aims for Community based conservation methods for which it conducts action research at science-society interface, assuring alternative livelihood through risk spreading and coverage in the milieu of climate change.

Restoration of mangrove forests, seagrass meadows, marshes, and kelp forests with community participation has been implemented by SAFE, using carbon neutral agro technology like aqua farming, alga culture, crab fattening and mangrove plantation as a new field of innovation towards Conservation and Blue carbon initiative.

Sustainable lifestyle and Education with recycling interventions for two consumer products Paper and Textiles.The project contributes to 10YFP by augmenting the product life through recycling and reuse.It offers important contributions for all three dimensions of sustainability ensuring poverty alleviation, sustainable lifestyle education among students and waste reduction.
